Teaching is truly one of my biggest passions in life. I really enjoy helping my students meet their learning goals and seeing them succeed. I am experienced in teaching beginners, intermediate, and also advanced students from ages 5-76. Over the last 9 years, I've taught at elementary and junior high schools, private language schools, and universities. My experience includes but is not limited to the Kanda Institute of Foreign Languages (Kanda Gaigo Gakuin) and NYU's Tokyo campus. I consider myself a student first and a teacher second, because life is a journey of perennial learning from the moment we are born until the moment we breathe our last. To stop learning would be to "grow old" in the truest sense of the words. I believe that you are as much of a teacher as I am, because from your unique set of life-experiences & encounters, I have as much to learn from you as you do from me. That said, I am blessed to have had a wealth of experience in life and a 15 year trajectory as a career-professional in education teaching kids from secondary school to adults. About 7 years ago I became an English teacher, which gave me skills to teach Croatian language as well. I have become very proficient in teaching through Skype, which is my favorite way to teach. My students are all types of people and age groups. Teaching is my passion in life and I especially enjoy learning about other cultures while I do it. In our lessons we can use different tools for any request, including GRAMMAR books, for BOTH languages. By creating fun and relaxed lessons, we can cover any aspect of the language you wish to focus on.

I think my best quality as a teacher is empathy, as I understand the student's point of view very well and it is easy for me to put myself in their shoes. It is important to me that everyone has a good time while learning and I always try to bring a positive attitude into the classroom, be it face-to-face or virtual.
