In Korea, I worked as a English tutor since as far as back -10 years ago. And I've been teaching Korean for about a year now. It is my hope that as a 1:1 Italki class, we can set our goals and have our classes personalized based on your specific needs as well as making sure that the class doesn't get boring.

I speak Spanish very well (we speak it every day at home). I speak enough Mandarin Chinese to have a solid conversation. I chat with iTalki Chinese teachers several times a week to practice. As a fellow language learner and a trilingual, I have probably run into many of the same barriers and pitfalls you will encounter while learning your next language, so I can empathize with the many of the struggles you face.

Growing up, I always helped my classmates with English tests and later on I started teaching children in my hometown English. I would love to continue sharing my beautiful language with foreigners, as well as helping Spanish speakers with their English, by having casual conversations and learning from them as well! -- Desde que era muy joven siempre ayudé a mis compañeros de clase a estudiar inglés, y más adelante, comencé a enseñarle inglés y español a niños. Good communication, good articulation mean a lot to me. No matter how much you know, how much you have acquired, if you are not good at articulating yourself, you rock the boat especially in teaching. As once a great Farsi writer living in this country (Rumi) said "...You can only explain as much as who listens to you can understand." In that sense Teaching is always more than transmitting knowledge. A teacher always represents an identity regardless of different learning settings. Looking upon my student years, teachers whom I admire are not those who perhaps know the most but the ones who could express themselves the best.

Together, we will learn about the beauty of this elegant language, from discovering the Alefba’s (ABC’s) to delving into Arabic literature, poetry, music, and much more. As translator and linguist, i know just how to make everything make sense from one language to another, so i can easily turn “difficult” Arabic concepts and structures into a piece of cake. I am a native Lebanese speaker, so besides Modern Standard Arabic (Fusha), I also teach the Levantine dialects (Aamiye). I’m also very interested in learning about different cultures and languages, and through Preply i can teach you about Arabic culture and you can teach me about yours!

I grew up speaking both English and Spanish, and since I was little my friends and colleagues have asked me to help them with either language. Now, I have been teaching languages formally for over 2 years and I worked as a volunteer language teacher in Morocco. I have a TEFL certificate and I teach students of all ages and all levels. I am a teacher with long patience. I always understand the status of my student, especially the beginner. I understand that they feel fear and pressure. I give them opportunity to share their knowledge, ideas and experiences to help them improve their speaking skills. I use rewards like smiley and encouraging words to help my students build their confidence.

I strongly believe that variety is the spice of life! Because of this I like to teach at all levels, because I think everyone has something to offer and to learn. I completed my CELTA training at St Giles International and have been teaching English for over a year now. I'm enthusiastic, attentive, and also very supportive as a teacher. I encourage my students to be confident and independent with their language usage. I believe it's important to make mistakes as these are your opportunities for improvement, but most of all it's important to enjoy your language learning. Finding fun and satisfaction in using your developing skills is where learning flows from best!

Although I have never formally trained in teaching language, I have voluntarily taught Japanese for many years. I’ve attended to language exchange lessons in Toronto and New York and taught Japanese to people from all over the world (e.g. American, Canadian, Russian, Polish, German, Chinese, Korean, Indian etc.) from very beginners to fluent people. I made close friends who learn Japanese and we always asked and taught each other when I was studying English. One of my best friends is an American and he still asks me about the Japanese language even after he moved to Japan.

As a teacher, I love to make students feel confident to speak English with me and make mistakes. I feel that it is essential to not be scared to communicate and express your opinion even if it is a bit difficult at the beginning. I have learned 5 foreign languages myself, that is why I know many effective and fun methods to memorize information and communicate faster! I strongly believe that learning should be a fun process - that is when it is the most effective. Tenho 14 anos de carreira, já dei aula para todas as idades. Por muitos anos trabalhei em escolas, inclusive fui coordenadora pedagógica de uma, e desde 2015 trabalho com aulas particulares. Há dois anos tenho oferecido principalmente aulas online. I have been in this business for 14 years now and I have taught people of all ages. For many years I worked in schools, in fact, I have been a pedagogical coordinator in one of them, and since 2015 I have been a private teacher. For two years nows I have been offering mostly online classes.

I take a calm and relaxed approach because I want you to feel comfortable and you will get the most out of the lessons if you are feeling relaxed. I'd like to find out about hobbies and interests as well as your specific goals so that the lessons are as interesting and relevant to you as they can be. It's important for me to get to know your preferences, for example whether you want me to give you feedback continually and correct any mistakes you make at the time, or if you prefer me to give more general feedback at the end of the lesson. I have been teaching English as a volunteer and a tutor off and on for many years. I really enjoy working with and helping Spanish speakers. My Spanish level seems to increase as their English level increases. It is very satisfying and gratifying to see my students' confidence and excitement be awakened. My academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry, a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, and a Fellowship of the Academy of General Dentistry. Everyone has his own favorite art and teaching Arabic is my favorite art. I have been working as a teacher of Arabic and for almost 4 years and I have always tried to use all the methods and techniques that might help my students learn the Arabic Language in a good and interactive way and in the best teaching environment available.
