I am a qualified and certified online TEFL English teacher. I am also a qualified IELTS teacher (Reading, Writing, Speaking, Listening). I have been teaching for approximately 1 year and have about 2300 (two thousand three hundred) English lessons behind my name. I believe that I can make a difference in the lives of my students, as I would like to grow alongside them and encourage them in succeeding in their educational journey. I'm looking forward to being your teacher.

Ich habe Deutsch, Englisch und Französisch in verschiedenen Ländern und Kontexten unterrichtet – privat, an der Universität und in einer Sprachschule. Ich bin froh, nun auf italki zu unterrichten. I think my purpose in this world is to teach. Languages are one of the channels to increase global knowledge and to contribute to a better world. I’ve been teaching German, French and English in different countries in different contexts, in private lessons, at University and in a language school. Now I am happily teaching online on italki.

I have always loved languages and have learnt them from an early age as a child. This was my main motivation to become a teacher over 15 years ago. Apart from teaching I have also spent time contracting to a language school based at one of the universities in Auckland to develop teaching materials for new teachers to help them on their teacher training journey. I am currently completing my Masters of Education which I believe will enhance my knowledge about education in general and also my teaching practice.

Since having a much lighter schedule, I have been able to focus more on a student's individual needs in the classroom and the effort that goes into producing lessons rich in content. Whilst being experienced teaching to all proficiency levels, I'm particularly accomplished within the field of phonics and phonetics, ensuring correct pronunciation of the language, leading to a much greater sense of accuracy and fluid understanding during conversational situations. I've helped students successfully Interview and write CVs for new jobs since teaching on iTalki. I've also helped students greatly improve their speaking and general English skills. I will help you learn English by using a different subject you are passionate about; if for example you enjoy cooking, our lessons will focus on restaurants, recipes and food. You will learn faster by using a topic you are already interested in. I’ve taught TESOL in Taiwan for 9 years to students of all ages. I love to learn and share the knowledge I’ve acquired with my students.

I teach with patience and will provide with useful tips on correcting your pronunciation as a non-native speaker. If you have certain topics that you would want to learn with me, we can discuss on it and start lessons based on the topics.

Teaching has always been my passion. I never choose the kind of learner to teach. I believe that learning is full of diversity. My profession is limitless. I myself can learn while I teach. I have several years of experience teaching students from the ages 14-18, right up to retirees! I started teaching as part of my university degree, which resulted in me becoming a qualified English teacher in the Netherlands. I am able to use the aspects of my upbringing to my advantage when it comes to teaching English: I am able to understand what it takes to learn English as a foreign language, while also being able to share the subtleties of the language as a native speaker. I specialize in teaching Levantine Arabic for non-native speakers, and I have a wide experience teaching MSA as well. I can also help you understand different Arabic dialects.
