Reaching the highest level of competency in language usage is a very different challenge to your first steps, which is why I specialise in advanced English. I have a degree from the University of Cambridge in English, as well as a CELTA certificate and master's degree in English literature. I have been teaching high-level English skills online for several years and have the experience, knowledge and empathy necessary to make sure you reach your goals the way you want to. I believe that the hardest step to take as a language learner is to see yourself on a level playing field as native speakers, which is why my lessons focus on the types of materials educated native speakers enjoy.

I am often described as kind, fun, patient and passionate by students, my goal is to make you feel comfortable and confident enough to speak as much English as possible. I still offer corrections and help with grammar and pronunciation, however I take note of improvements and positive points as well, so you can know what you are doing right! Even though I have specific lessons plans, I try to make the conversations feel natural and real, so that you can not only express yourself the way you might in a real life situation, but also enjoy the experience of learning English and learning about my culture, while I learn about yours.

I like to not only focus on the language itself but to also integrate culture into my lessons too! The atmosphere in my lessons is casual, so you can feel comfortable. I’m friendly and will always adapt to my students’ level and needs. If you feel nervous about speaking, don't worry. It's ok to make mistakes and you will learn from them in no time! Instead of focusing on explaining the rules of the English language, I prefer to repeat the erroneous sentences that my students say in class in the right manner, making it a point to have them repeat it in the same way. I began my teaching career in a local high school teaching senior History and junior Social Studies for five years. While playing cricket in England for two seasons I also taught Key Stage 3 History close to London. After this I moved to China and taught senior English and oral English to junior students. I have already been teaching online to children, teenagers and adults for over two years now, sometimes solo and sometimes together with a full time teaching job, and I absolutely love it. Right now my main job is as an IB History and English teacher for a school in Ambato, Ecuador, although I'm doing this remotely due to the Covid world.
