I studied science and technology at the Leeuwenborgh institute In the Netherlands and my job was training new employers to get ready for their job. In Thailand I started to teach at the local primary school of my village. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to get my TEFL certificate and did additional courses for natural learning, specially for kindergarten kids. I have experience teaching at kindergarten, primary school and secondary school as well as in business English.

I have taught English in the Dominican Republic to children in an orphanage, as well as I have experience teaching Spanish and Italian to classmates and friends who need help.

I am a native speaker from the U.S. who has received a TEFL certification. TEFL certification helped shape my teaching style to be focused on visual and audio components to elicit student responses naturally. My goal for teaching English is for the the student to enjoy the lessons, move at a pace that is comfortable for them, and work towards clear achievable goals.

I have many years of teaching experience,teaching different languages to people from different countries and different backgrounds. My lessons are customized for students. [For beginners], I usually start by improving my students' reading skill and then move to grammar lessons using grammar textbooks, pictures, flashcards etc..I assign homework. [For intermediate/advanced learners], the most focus here will be on your speaking skill and your ability to speak more in different topics (I will correct your grammar and pronunciation mistakes when it's needed).

I became a teacher to share my passion for languages with the world. I want everyone to realise how much fun you can have learning a new language. It is easier than you think. I became a TEFL qualified tutor in 2017 and since then have completed hundreds of hours of teaching students at all levels. As a teacher I’m guided by a line from Don Quijote, “Cada uno es hijo de sus obras.” (“We are all the children of our accomplishments.”) and an anthropological observation that “education is identity change.” Learning is more than the acquisition of new skills, it’s the emergence of a new identity. I first saw it in my dissertation research, and then I began to see it everywhere. Learning anything new, especially another language, means becoming someone new. These insights continually challenge me to offer relevant instructional opportunities that allow learners to experience themselves engaging in new practices that they can then convert into newer versions of themselves.

I teach English . All ages. My youngest learners are 2-3 years old, the oldest ones are over 70. The age is not a limit! I have taught English for more than 5 years now. I'm an ELICOS teacher in Melbourne, Australia at the moment. As a classroom teacher, I deal with adult international students. My students come from a diverse background: South America, Europe, Asia, Middle East and India.

I am very flexible as a teacher. I have given lessons in which we have just had a conversation, which is always great, but I have also given many lessons in which I help students with high level academic writing, such as Masters university essays and business reports. How your lessons are structured is up to you! I have had some students studying for IELTS and have helped them to overcome some difficulties and their own nervousness, particularly with speaking and writing. I have enabled them to practise talking about the sorts of topics that you'll be asked about in IELTS, and received positive feedback from my students, including one who scored a 7 in IELTS in 2018.

Learning foreign languages is my great passion. I speak or learn several of them. I know how important it is to practice speaking. Not everybody is lucky to have native speakers at hand. From time to time I help some of my friends living abroad to improve their Polish. I myself use italki to practice Italian and Arabic. I asked myself: why not help others with their Polish through italki? So I decided to become a tutor. I will do my best to do it in a funny, engaging and stress-free way. I teach Polish (mother tongue), English and Spanish (I speak them both fluently).

Here in China I found a lot of people, both kids and adults that wanted to speak or learn from foreigners. As such I slowly learned how to teach people. Now I feel confident to teach English as well as Dutch. Teaching is a lot of fun to me, seeing students grow from beginners into full native speakers is great. I usually teach gradually from the basic and simple things to more complicated structures trying to develop all four forms of language application - speaking, understanding of speech, reading and writing but giving more time to what requires more attention. I aslo try to find out the reason why a student wants to learn language out of which a certain aim can be formed and then I try to adjust lessons to achieving this aim.
