Originally from Beijing China, I have gained extensive experience in teaching Chinese Mandarin to Australians in universities, primary schools, kindergartens and various language institutions over the past 8 years. My students have included working professionals like bankers and lawyers, teenagers aged 13-17, children aged 3-12, university students as well as Australian diplomats working in China.

Since I am also a language learner myself, I understand the struggles when it comes to learning different languages. When I learn try to learn a new language, I normally focus on pronunciation first. Sometimes we don't notice sounds in a foreign language because it's not in our own native language so I think it's important to become more aware of those sounds and also the flow and melody of the language you are learning.

Hi, I have five and a half years of experience of teaching English to all ages and levels. Most recently, I specialized in teaching test preparation and academic English. I am CELTA qualified and have an MA in Applied Linguistics.

I started my teaching career since 2015 and I work with students in all levels, from beginner to advanced.

I had experience as a particular english teacher as well as spanish teacher for people of different ages. I like to prepare my classes according to my clients goals using didactic material. I am a precise, punctual and patient person, therefore I like to encourage students to express themselves freely and without judgement, encouraging self-correction and providing guidance when necessary. I like to create a stress-free environment where you can feel at ease and enjoy the learning process.

My aim is to help you to improve your English, using Skype, Zoom or another platform, in a way that suits you and is enjoyable. Whether you want to improve your writing and grammar, prepare for a job interview, study in English or simply practise and improve your conversation skills I believe that you will learn quicker if the lessons are based on topics that interest you. I enjoy meeting and talking with people, and by finding out a little about you I will be able to deliver more stimulating and engaging lessons. Please note that I only teach adult students (aged 18 and over).

I've recently completed a Graduate Certificate in TESOL and will be continuing to study throughout the next 6-18 months. I have completed a placement at the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) at TAFESA which gave me hands on experience working with people from a variety of backgrounds and with a range of levels of English.

In my class I offer different types of lessons and all of these are tailored according to your needs. So just till me about your goals and we can start from there. During the class we can read articles, have a dialogue practice and talk about a certain topic. We can also just talk freely about anything under the sun. The best way to learn a language is to put it in practice so I expect you, the student to speak more in class. I believe this is very effective for you to be more confident in speaking. I also make sure that in each and every class it will be fun and instructive.

I earned my bachelor's degree in Business Teacher Education in 2013 and graduated with flying colors from one of the top universities in my country. I took and passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers in the same year. I've started my teaching career after graduation, and I'm currently working my way towards earning my master's degree in Education. To further enhance my teaching skills and qualifications, I took a 120-hour TEFL certificate course from an accredited online training provider. As a teacher, I'm friendly, kind, and patient with all my students.

I am confident that I know my topic and that I have the ability to explain how and why English works. I am a good listener, and you will get much out of each class. Having learned two other languages myself, both Spanish and Guarani, I know firsthand what it takes to learn another language, and you will get the benefit of my experience to help you learn.

I've taught English online to students of all ages from Kazakhstan and Russia since my student years and now on italki along with English I also teach Kazakh and Russian to students from all over the world. I have many years’ experience working with children of different ages in different capacities. For 3 years I taught children between 3-6 of different backgrounds and levels of English understanding. I had just over a year experience teaching teenagers between 12-18 doing many different activities and lessons. I also coached 15/16-year olds netball. I have au paired for a family and their main reason for employing me was to teach the children English, I used a variety of different activities to help the children improve their English skills. I use many different resources and I enjoy customizing my lesson plans for each student.

I have been a professional teacher, teaching English in the UK since 1990. In 2002 I qualified as a teacher of English as a foreign language (TEFL) with business and I have very much enjoyed this aspect of my work since then. I often work with students who have literacy and language difficulties and in this role my teaching includes every level of the English language, from the smallest unit of sound, the phoneme, to whole texts.

As an ESL teacher (I have certification with TEFL) I was stunned to learn that something like 95% of students fail to reach even marginal fluency. To me that means there is something seriously wrong with the way students are being taught. I set out to discover the roots of this problem and I've discovered that there are several reasons. I've developed a method to help, but I also just teach conversational English if you prefer that.

I have 3+ years of teaching and tutoring experience in numerous fields like Psychology, Social Work, and Criminology that is all conducted in English. I teach the Shona and English languages from beginner to advanced levels, and I am good at teaching all age ranges, from 10 to 50+ years old! I have taught Shona and English to persons at the high-school level and tertiary levels from diverse backgrounds. I am also currently a psychology tutor for university students, levels 1, 2 and 3.

I enjoy allowing students to try and express themselves, not just text book style- whilst making clear targets with their goals of learning English.
