I currently teach English Chinese students, ages 3 to about 14, despite not knowing Chinese myself. Therefore, I can help with more basic levels, as well as more intermediate and advanced levels. I am patient and willing to work through complicated material for my students' various levels. As a language learner myself, I understand how difficult it can be to learn a language. I am very supportive and encouraging, but I will also correct your mistakes as we go and inform you of what you need to work on.

I need my students to be hard-working and sedulous. It doesn't matter whether you're just a begginer or intermediate learner, whether you're adult or a kid we'll definately make it better together. I can assure you that you'll get all the effort and knowledge from me to help you.

I aim to be friendly and helpful in my lessons. I hope that you will enjoy the lesson while your English improves. I am an experienced teacher and I always try to make my lessons varied and interesting. I will help to develop your fluency and communication skills; at the same time I'll work to identify particular areas of your English to improve together through error correction and more focussed exercises. Just a quick note - I don't have teaching materials for children so if you are looking for a tutor for a child please find someone who is more of a specialist in teaching children.

I am a native English speaker and am currently learning a new language myself so I understand the challenges you might be facing. I have loved living in different parts of the world. I have a TEFL qualification and have spent many years teaching.

I have experience with teaching online as well as in a traditional setting. Being a language learner myself, I know what the most common challenges are when learning a language and the most successful ways to overcome them. In addition, both my undergraduate studies as well as most of my jobs required me to have an impeccable use of Spanish and English, which proved to be very useful when helping other people to learn these languages.

I have experience of teaching English in Ecuador I have taught Swedish with the Nordic Society at University College London (UCL). I enjoy teaching languages primarily because of the lovely people I get to met along the way. I love sharing my passion for reading and for great films with my students. Other people's curiosities invite me to explore new fields so that I can be a bridge for them.

Classes with me will include lots of talking, I base my classes around conversational English, helping students improve different areas of English by speaking. The classes are in a friendly environment, so if you make a mistake you don’t need to feel foolish. Also I am quite energetic, so we will have lots to talk about. All classes will be made according to your wants and needs, each class different to the next. We will use, PDF’s, articles, podcasts, videos in lessons to make them interesting. I am TEFL and IELTS qualified as of last year. I had the fantastic opportunity to teach in Buenos Aires, Argentina for 4 weeks. Since January 2019, I have been helping people with their English speaking skills. As a teacher, I am fun, reliable, respectful and creative. I totally understand how hard it is to learn a new language and sometimes things don't quite 'click and fall into place'. That's perfectly fine, it's part of the process. I have taught people of all ages and abilities and love to see people improve their skills, abilities and most importantly their confidence. I also maximise and encourage speaking as much as possible, as I feel its the best way to learn a new langauge.

As a teacher, I am very interested in my students and creating a structure that is both fun and interesting to them. We all learn in different ways and as your teacher I wish to talk with you about which ways you learn best. I find that conversational platforms are a more informal yet highly effective way to learn. Simply discussing current events, what is happening at your work or at home, or in your city can be amazing tools to learning a language in a very practical way and expedite the learning process.

I got my certification in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from International TEFL Academy in 2019. I have several months of experience teaching mixed-level adult classes (Canadian Benchmark Levels 1-4) in Winnipeg, Canada. My long-term goal is to move abroad (most likely to Asia) and teach English to students of all ages.

I have been teaching English for 26 years and I have a Certificate in TEFLA (CELTA), an Advanced Certificate in TESOL and an MA in Applied Linguistics and TESOL. I was the editor of a Teacher Education journal in Japan for eight years and I taught at universities there for 15 years. I have been teaching pre-sessional courses at the University of Glasgow since 2015 so I have a lot of experience in preparing students for the cultural and academic expectations in an English-speaking university setting. The goal of the pre-sessional courses is for the students to attain an IELTS-equivalent score of 6.5 or 7. In addition, I have been teaching scuba diving and first aid since 2002.
