Initially, with a new student, I would start off with a general conversation in order to gauge your specific needs. Once we have determined those needs, with both your and my input in the discussions I will progress to more structured lesson plans if that is what you require. My goal now is to combine my range of experience with my ability to be a compassionate, enthusiastic, intelligent teacher who will make a positive contribution to every student. I aim to give you confidence in speaking english to the best of your ability. Plenty of practice, feedback on your grammar, and pronunciation. But mostly I will try to get you to talk as much as possible.

I am very dynamic in the classes and have many different ways to help out the students. I will go slow of fast, depending on the student´s level.

I know that learning a new language can be quite tough sometimes, so I always try to make the process as comfortable as possible to the learner. My lessons are flexible and designed according to my students` needs. My main goal is to guide my students so they can become independent and feel confident enough to communicate in any situation.

I am a licensed EFL teacher and specialize in grammar and accent reduction. I've been helping my students prepare for EIKEN ever since I came to Japan. I myself had to take TOEFL iBT back when I was applying to the University of Minnesota and I easily got 110 points which is the equivalent of EIKEN 1. If you are preparing for either EIKEN or TOEFL, I have the materials, qualifications, and experience necessary to help you succeed.

In my lessons you will quickly discover that I am patient tutor. I am respectful and approachable. I always encourage my students to speak as much as possible and to never be afraid to ask question.

I have taught both English and Turkish in formal and informal settings. For English I have a book for beginners and can help you improve your conversational skills and reading skills by introducing new vocabulary and assisting you with pronunciation.

My approach is to offer students a comfortable environment in which they can make all the mistakes necessary to gain a high level of English. Mistakes are an inevitable part of learning a language so the important thing is to not be embarassed!

The most rewarding part of teaching is when I see a student advancing in English and achieving their goals, and over the years, I've developed my methods and approach to maximise student gains. In my classes, we focus on your needs and goals to get you where you need to be in English. I endeavour to provide a relaxed, interactive, and fun learning environment for all my students. In our classes together, my focus is YOU. I want you to succeed in English, and I'll do everything I can to help you make that happen.

My students know me as a warm, funny and caring "expert" teacher. I have a vast wealth of experience across all levels and age groups and am very accustomed to using technology in class. I have been teaching English for seven years to over 100 students in the UK, Australia, Spain, Thailand, China, Turkey and India. I have taught students from 5 years old up to Masters University level. I specialise in teaching essay writing, conversational English and IELTS and TOFEL exam preparation.

While I have no teaching credentials, I have great experience interacting with a lot of different people from various countries around the world. I know how to study foreign languages and can probably teach you how to learn a language more efficiently. As a tutor I can only show you the door to betterment; you must enter the door yourself.

During my bachelor's studies in journalism, I worked as an English teacher's assistant. I led discussion groups based on assigned readings and taught incoming freshmen to write at the collegiate level. After I finished my master's degree in social work, I worked as a drug and alcohol counselor at an in-patient addiction recovery facility. Along with my 10 client case load, I had to teach 3 hour classes on addiction and rehabilitation to groups of 60 recovering adults. I know how to teach. My students like me. My journalism education reinforces my strong oral and written abilities; and my social work skills help me relate to my students and draw out their full potential.

I plan all my lessons ahead of time and pay a lot of attention to the students' individual preferences. My goal is to help students overcome the language barrier and feel more comfortable when speaking. I can also help you to understand grammar and improve your writing.

I have taught English for 6 years. I love going deep into grammar, vocabulary, and the exceptions in the language. I also enjoy helping students with test preparation. I even do the exercises while I have coffee! I like to teach functional language based on the student's needs. I started my career teaching children, but now I only teach adults. That's because my classes are more fun when I can discuss my student's grammar problems on a higher level. I was lucky to have excellent teachers who inspired me in my career. Like Mr. Ramos, whose passion and enthusiasm made the lessons enjoyable and fun. He always explained things with a smile, and I aim to be that kind of teacher every day.

I always enjoyed English as a subject at school and received good grades. With English and my qualification in Business Studies I was then able get my first teaching job in Paris, teaching predominantly Business English in schools and in companies. Teaching gave me the opportunity to indulge my passion for travel and I spent the next four years teaching in Europe before returning to the UK to consolidate my work experience with a Diploma in TEFL. Since then I have taught mainly in central London Schools and appreciate the opportunity it has given me to really get to know people and their different cultures.

I am specialised in teaching Business English and have taught many students to help prepare them for the world of work and office life. I can teach students from pre-intermediate to a more advanced level up. I tailor my lessons to each student so they learn in a way which suits them.
