I graduated a four year program with a B.S. in American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting. I’ve tutored ASL for about 2 years at university. It’s important for me to first get to know the expectations and goals of my students. This allows me to set up a tutoring session that is most compatible with my students leaning style and goals. I’ve taught many of my friends, colleagues and a few of my younger cousins conversational ASL. It is truly a passion of mine to help people on their language learning journey and to guide them pass the same challenges I’ve had. It’s one of the most fulfilling things I find myself doing. My goal is to help others reach their goals!

What can you expect from me as your tutor? First of all, well-designed and interactive lessons that will focus on your needs. During the first session, we will identify your goals and your baseline; from there, I will develop a program for you that will help you to reach your goals. Moreover, you can expect a lot of practice between our sessions. I will be sending you a variety of exercises so that you can master your gained knowledge. You also will have immediate and objective feedback from me. I am open to communications, so if you have any questions during your homework preparation, send me a message, and I will answer it as soon as I can.

Teaching gives me a great sense of passion and I really enjoy seeing my students improve in language skills and they can use the target language to communicate with the people of other countries and learn about their cultures. I've been teaching Persian and English for about 10 years. I'm also a language learner, so I understand all the challenges of learning a second language, and I can help the students to overcome the barriers and become a fluent, confident speaker. My students know me as a patient and creative teacher.

As I’ve studied Korean for over seven years, I also know how it feels to be the student. It can be intimidating, even overwhelming. Because of this, I’ve developed tips and tricks that help any language learner feel more comfortable and confident. Please help me help you! If you provide me with a topic or area of interest in advance, I’ll focus our lesson time on that. Please also let me know if there is a particular phrase, grammar structure, or situation in English that you find difficult so that I can develop sample sentences and activities for our lesson time. When I returned to Canada, I decided to continue teaching and make it a full-time career as I enjoyed my experience teaching English so much while living abroad. I'm a native English speaker from the USA who's certified to teach English. I graduated college with a Bachelor's degree in Science and a minor in Arabic.
