I moved to South Korea over a year ago and started teaching English to students of all ages. I have tutored and taught in academies while I've been here. It's always exciting to meet new students, as they all have different personalities. I have spent many hours assisting medical students in preparation for their USMLE Step 2 exam. This includes acting as the patient role, developing scripts, and empathy advice for a more natural conversation.

I have 5 years experience in teaching foreign languages for all levels on line and translated vast projects from English into French and Arabic and verse versa. I will supply students some methodological keys addressing their expectations, creating a positive learning environment, and finding a balance among modeling, explaining and practice. I have taught English across the world - from Thailand to Italy - and have experience teaching all ages. My approach to teaching is student oriented. I would first asses the level and likes/dislikes of the prospective student and come up with relevant material.

Do you speak English to customers and coworkers, but always feel nervous you'll mess up? I can help you be the FIRST to speak because you're so confident in yourself. I use psychology and science to create activities, assignments, and tips to help you speak English confidently and open your world to new possibilities.

I see myself as a mirror: I can help and guide you through the language, present grammar rules, explain vocabulary, answer questions, and correct your mistakes, but your improvement and progress are entirely up to you, how enthusiastic you are about the language you study, and your motivations. I encourage you to make mistakes, express yourself freely, and make decisions as to how you want the lessons to go. A teacher is a resource. Slowly but surely, your skills will flourish and you´ll become confident in your language abilities. For me, this is one of the best parts of my work. :)

I started teaching when I was living abroad in New Zealand. I was working a full time job but did some teaching online! It was a great experience and then lead me to go to Asia where I taught not only online but also in classes! That was a real life changer there! I really developed as a teacher and was interested in becoming a teacher in a country that I would settle in! Which is the case now as I am living in Barcelona! I have been living here now for 4 and a half years and have just started my fifth year in the same school! It has been such a great experience and I am so grateful to have such amazing students! Ranging from kids that are six years old to adults in their seventies!

I like to focus my lessons on my student's interests. I believe that the best way to learn a language is to learn the vocabulary that is focused on your personal interests, and to expand from there. Having quite a bit of experience in learning languages (English, French, German and Japanese) I hope to share the tips and tricks which I have picked up.

I'm quite patient and very understanding if you ever feel frustrated or just simply overwhelmed, so I can be very helpful when it comes to learning a challenging topic. I really think pronunciation is very important, since we almost always communicate verbally, and that's how we make first impressions. I am a certified English Tutor (TESOL); specifically teaching English to speakers of other Languages. I specialize in IELTS, Business English, Conversational and others. I have also taught science-related subjects at University level where i hold a Masters degree in Petroleum Engineering. I like to learn new things and new languages. It's kind of a hobby of mine, so now I’m also learning Farsi. I graduated from the Russian State University with a philology degree. After the University I started to work teaching Turkish and English. I’m experienced in teaching children. I have always loved languages and have learnt them from an early age as a child. This was my main motivation to become a teacher over 15 years ago. Apart from teaching I have also spent time contracting to a language school based at one of the universities in Auckland to develop teaching materials for new teachers to help them on their teacher training journey. I am currently completing my Masters of Education which I believe will enhance my knowledge about education in general and also my teaching practice.
