I have been delivering one on one sessions online for around 6 years and I have learnt a lot of things from my students in that time. In particular, I am interested in offering students basic cultural knowledge and understanding, so that they may understand the references and tone of a conversation between native speakers. I also believe that in an increasingly integrated world, in which questions of politics, music, sport and culture happen on a global level, students should feel able to participate in those conversations. I am also keen on the art of error correction - when to correct and when not to correct.

I've been teaching English professionally for 7+ years now. I am now a full-time online teacher and use the best technology to teach in the most efficient way possible. I'm a very patient person and a good listener. After obtaining TEFL Certification from the Language Institute at Chiang Mai University I taught classes at Pro Language Chiang Mai in 2008. I remained there until returning home from Thailand in February of 2009. Since then I have done private English tutoring in Thailand, Mexico, and United States.

I’ve taught kindergarten, middle school, and primary school students in China and on Italki. My youngest students are just three years old! So through my career I’ve gathered many certificates, diplomas and other documents including TOEFL Test preparation, First Certificate, Advanced Reading, Teaching by Competences, etc. Graduated with a minor in Human Resources, I’ve also studied ESL for business skills like job interviews, accounting, importing and exporting in North America, and customer service.

As a teacher, I am a team player. I work with the student to determine the appropriate method and content of the lesson. I offer resources as needed, and I continuously adapt to the needs and interests of the student.

I have been teaching English since 1999 and shortly after obtained my CELTA (Cambridge English Language Teaching Accreditation) teaching qualification. I have taught in five different countries= the UK, Spain, Hungary, Vietnam and Malaysia; presently I am living in Budapest, Hungary. My motivation for teaching? There are two reasons why I enjoy teaching; firstly, the feeling of satisfaction when you have helped someone pass an examination, be successful in their career, a job interview or even learn a difficult piece of grammar. Secondly; I love the English language! I love thinking about it and considering the best way to teach it.
