I am a teacher of English and Maths and worked as a college teacher abroad in US - NYC and UK - East Midlands. These days as a freelancer I focus on English mainly teaching not only students, but also business professionals and by preparing targeting tasks we can make a visible progress. I think the most important quality as a teacher is the ability to encourage learners. Learning a language is not always easy and there are ups and downs. And it requires quite a bit of efforts and dedication. I believe that a good teacher makes learning more pleasant even when learners bump into obstacles, and makes them feel comfortable and relaxed so that they can speak without feeling nervous. So I try to be a good listener. I also try to make each class fun and helpful with lots of preparation.

As a teacher I am: Patient - I am always happy to have the same conversation again and again until it feels comfortable for you Creative - How many times can we talk about 'what you did today?' Let's learn new vocabulary! Let's pretend we're at a restaurant or at a job interview or mountain climbing! Organised - If we learn new words today, I will find a way to bring them into conversation tomorrow! I am always keeping notes on your progress. Encouraging - I will always push you! If you're comfortable using the word 'tired' let's try using 'exhausted' or maybe an expression like 'burnt-out' or even current slang like 'dead!' Flexible - If you need something different, you can ask! :)

I see the ideal teaching session as a conversation. I make sure all my students know they are in an environment where they can practice their English and improve it without fear of being judged. I teach by example, and will spend the first session getting to know you so I know what makes you thrive as an English or German learner.

I can teach both English and Hindi and have tutored many students, family members, friends etc. Although English seems a bit tough and complicated at first, however, I believe that with proper guidance and regular learning one can learn it with ease.

I like teaching because I like helping others, and it is very satisfying to see a person's improvement when learning a language. It is also a job that allows me to travel and see the linguistic difficulties and concerns that each learner has towards a language. As I said, I spent two awesome years working in China (still thinking of going back some day!) and I am currently teaching Spanish in Poland. I received TEFL certification from The Boston Language Institute. The program was an in-person 120-hour program that included supervised teaching of actual ESL classes. During the course, the instructors regularly told me that I should specialize in Business English. Since leaving Boston Language Institute, I have taught at language schools, privately tutored, worked as a high school English and World Studies teacher, and I am also experienced in teaching young children online. In 2020, I also completed a 120-hour TESOL certification program.

In Korea, I worked as a English tutor since as far as back -10 years ago. And I've been teaching Korean for about a year now.
