7 years ago I didn't want to be a teacher, my dad was already the 4th generation of teachers in my family and it seemed too boring! Then I did the CELTA course in Chiang-Mai and was hooked. I LOVE my job, there is nothing more exciting than helping my students to reach the 'ahaa!' moment where they respond in English without translating. I am a dynamic teacher; I like to surprise my students. By experience I know what it takes to learn the language so I keep my lessons simple and practical. I take my teaching seriously, but I also think it is important to teach in a relaxed setting so I try to be balanced with both. I’ve been teaching English to non-native speakers since 2015. My students have come from many different countries and cultures. Different students have different challenges with pronunciation and understanding. Different students have different goals. I understand that and I adapt accordingly and put the focus where it is needed. I have experience teaching at all levels and from age 6 years upwards. I am fortunate to be a native English speaker and enjoy helping others improve their English skills. Teaching is also an excellent way to exchange cultures and ideas. I am a Persian native speaker with a university degree in translation studies, and some previous experience in tutoring Persian as well as English. I think it is wonderful to connect with people around the world every day, so I guess this platform helps a lot.
