I studied English and New Media at the University of Limerick in Ireland, and then went to teach for a year in the United Arab Emirates. I taught at a private school that followed a very strict and rigid teaching methodology Combining technology and teachers, students used tablets, smart boards, and online platforms to become more autonomous and empowered. Following that, I moved to Madrid, Spain, and taught there for 3 years. There I had more freedom to carry out the classes to my liking. I recently moved back to Ireland and have been teaching online extensively for the past several months.

I have been a professional teacher, teaching English in the UK since 1990. In 2002 I qualified as a teacher of English as a foreign language (TEFL) with business and I have very much enjoyed this aspect of my work since then.
