About Me

I have taught English as second language in various international schools in Czech Republic, Thailand and Cambodia. I have also taught English and ice hockey in Greece and Himalayas.
As a result I am a compassionate teacher with a great cultural awareness, who remains sensitive to student’s unique needs, cultivates a love for learning, integrates multicultural teaching units, offers a positive encouragement and reinforcement to keep students motivated.

In my lessons, I go by the motto of the Czech educational reformer John Amos Comenius “learning through play” so don’t expect any dull moments!
All my lessons are tailored personally for you, depending on your needs, interests and preferences.
We will focus mainly on conversation, which from my experience is the best way how to master a foreign language, but we will also focus on grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. If you have no knowledge of Czech language, don’t worry we will start on the very basics.

Všechno super jako vždy. Matěj připravuje skvelý materiál podle potřeby studentů. Pokud si musím stížovat něco, mám jediný... spojení je někdy špatný. Haha. Pokud někdo chce rozcvičit češtinu s zábavou, určitě vám doporučit.
