About Me

I grew up in the northern mountains of Lebanon, in a village called Tannourine. This ignited a never ending love for nature, outdoors and adventures that turned me into a local mountain guide. I practice many sports activities that include Skiing, Mountain Biking, Rock Climbing, Hiking and Camping. I studied Civil Engineering and Web Development in which, I work as a freelancer. I love traveling and meeting people from different countries and cultures so I found online tutoring to be a bridge between me and other ends of the world.

Me as a Teacher

I started my teaching journey during my second year in engineering school, six years ago. Used to meet with fellow students at the library where I explained to them things that they could not understand in class. So I started giving private one to one sessions to University students in math and physics. I taught these subjects for three years up until I graduated. After that, I became a freelance tutor in Arabic Language and I have been helping people speak Arabic for the past three years.

My lessons & teaching style

For the Levantine Arabic dialect subject, I teach the Lebanese accent. I use English letters only for this purpose, so do not worry if you can't read Arabic yet. I introduce you to Lebanese culture and habits, to the most iconic Lebanese music of different decades. Also, if you are visiting Lebanon, I can guide you through everything you need to know, all the places you should visit in order to make the most of your visit. As for the Modern Standard Arabic, I can teach you how to read, write and speak the language. I also do reviews for students who are already enrolled in other Arabic classes but need someone to practice calmly with. Our classroom will be the one shown in the video.

Mike is super patient and personable! He is wonderful to chat with and has a great teaching method that is not too intimidating. I am looking forward to our next lesson already.
