About Me

I was born and raised in the Czech Republic, where I worked in my family's bakery. Before I relocated to the US, I lived in Germany for a year. I used to be able to speak German better than the English I do now, that could be because my family came from German roots. I learned Russian while in school back in Czech and became intrigued about their history. Moving to Florida proved to be the best move I've ever made. For 10 years I lived in NW Florida, where I became a US citizen, and gained experience in home construction, remodeling and property management. I love everything about Florida, going to the beach, paddle boarding, etc. Enjoying time in the theme parks is just the cherry on top.

Me as a Teacher

In general, I'm a patient, happy, open-minded person. I offer a flexible tutor style of teaching.

My lessons & teaching style

My teaching style will be to take things at your preferred pace based on your needs. I can prepare materials in advance or based off feedback from a prior session. I like to read a lot and can provide a variety of materials based on your specific need. I'd like for us to speak in Czech as frequently as possible, so I can help correct any missteps. Overall I'm flexible. I know that learning a new language can be difficult, and understand it takes time and lots of practice. My job is to help and to make you feel comfortable. I'd prefer to start with somebody at an A1 level.
