About Me

Hi, my name is Jiae Han from Busan, South Korea. Currently, I live in Berlin, Germany. ⏳ Before - I have lived and worked in Malawi, Africa for about 2 years and a half. I received a scholarship to pursue my Masters from the South Korean government in 2017 and went to London for a year. ✨Right now - I am a PhD candidate on gender and intersectionality under the political science department and my topic is North Korean women refugees living in South Korea. 🧵 Hobbies - I love reading books, yoga, travelling and cooking!

Me as a Teacher

I have a bachelor's degree in Early childhood education 👶👦👧 and thus have had wonderful experiences of teaching and playing with children as well as youth in my spare time when I was still in South Korea. About teaching Korean, I have happened to teach more than 15 students within 6 months of becoming a tutor in Germany and look forward to meeting more people passionate about learning Korean with me here on Italki! 🤴👸

My lessons & teaching style

I prepare every lesson based on a customized manner for each student. 🔊 Depending on your needs, I optimise learning materials and design the curriculum. I use visual, auditorial resources based on text. I love receiving questions from students and spontaneously go in-depth so I embrace the needs of students. ⌚ Within a lesson, it will be divided into mainly four parts: reviewing what we did, learning new expressions and vocabulary, grammar, and free talking or practising speaking together.
