About Me

Hello, I am Nhlakanipho and am from South Africa .I recently graduated with a BA in motion picture.Film and Television production is my first love, one of the reasons I love it with every fibre of my being is because I get to teach through the visual picture and introduce nuances to the narratives of day to day people so they can see themselves represented through my work. So teaching is a large part of my work, from the research that goes into the making of something to the final thing that aims to spark conversations and give perspective, hence this application. Its all about teaching, I am willing to engage in conversations that you are interested in.

Me as a Teacher

The first thing I do is to allow students to be comfortable,to make mistakes. Learning a new language can be quite intimidating but if the teacher is approachable it enables a flowing conversation which is the basis or beginning rather of learning anything in life.

My lessons & teaching style

I offer conversational lessons that aim to improve grammar and vocabulary. I can also plan a lesson e.g. I work with scripts in pdf form to improve reading and writing , we can write scripts of our own, creating 5 minute dialogue or more which we can then roleplay to make the lesson more engaging. I present short video clips which we can decipher , I also give students topics which they would then have to presentation on.
