About Me

I lived in Tokyo from 2001 to 2019. While there, I was president of a small company and an executive in a startup. One of my accomplishments in Japan was writing a book on The Strategy for Business Communication for Japanese professionals. I'm not a traditional 'English teacher'. I'm a Communication Coach. I help people improve their communication skills. Then, they can create better business and personal relationships. I am an executive coach and sales consultant. I am flexible and humorous. I use a wide range of Internet, audio, and video sources to help students improve critical listening and thinking skills. My goal is to help you make more money or to create better relationships. My lessons & teaching style

My lessons are for real-world communication. I help people in entertainment, medicine, real estate, law, government, business, and start-ups. The lessons cover meetings, presentations, job interviews, negotiations, business etiquette, sales, and debate. Students will develop the important listening and critical thinking skills needed to develop relationships because they will focus on topics that interest them. As my focus is on real-world communication (language as a tool) I do not use English language learning textbooks.
