I am native Japanese and a qualified professional Japanese teacher.
In Japan, I teach one -on-one, not online.
l'm really excited to get to know people all over the world through italki.
I want the lessons to be interesting and fun as you learn Japanese.
I have studied English by myself and have realized how much more you can enjoy life when you can speak another language.
I know the difficulty of learning other languages,
And so I hope to encourage you as you learn Japanese.
Through my lesson, I hope you can find joy too in learning and communicating. My lessons & teaching style
I will use the books “できる日本語 Dekiru Nihongo” and “みんなの日本語 Minna no Nihongo", which are popular with international students and people studying Japanese.
And you can also do your homework if you wish. Give detailed feedback.
I basically don't use English during the lesson.
The structure of sentences and the nuances of words are different between Japanese and English.
The important thing to learn Japanese is to listen, read, think for yourself, and speak a lot in Japanese.
Don't be afraid to make mistakes.

Kana Sensei is a patient teacher who always smiles and encourages me a lot.
We practice how to order food and to tell time today. It is really helpful. I feel more confident about speaking Japanese!

I always enjoy having class with Kana Sensei. Today we learned how to order food in a restaurant. The atmosphere of the class is often relaxed and funny, Kana Sensei knows how to inspire students and we practice conversation a lot during the class, which I think it’s pretty important.
