About Me

Hi, my name is Pedro. I was born, and I’m currently located in Guatemala but I’ve lived in other Latin American countries for over 16 years. I’m a Communications Consultant. I’ve worked as a journalist, radio DJ and Producer for 10 years. I speak English to an advance level, and Italian to an intermediate level (mostly for lack of practice), and have just stared to learn French. I love to read, I play a funky bass, I like to cook and eat, also enjoy movies, series, video games, and sports (Yes I’m a proud nerd ;)). All of these experiences put me in the unique position that I could make conversation with even the most introverted people. And if everything else fails… cake!

Me as a Teacher

I speak 3 languages, trying for the 4th. So, I know that having fun in the process is important. I have dad jokes and puns for days! But most of all, patience and engagement; I’ve learned those skills because I’m dyslexic, and I have come up with solutions (they work for me) that center around visual and auditive tools. I also have had experience as a teacher of communications and journalism. But mostly I want to provide an environment in which you feel comfortable, so you can flex those Spanish skills, and in the end, feel confident that you can express yourself in the language.

My lessons & teaching style

We will focus on the subjects that you are interested in. If you wish to improve your conversation, we can have a nice cup of coffee. But I can also help you improve your listening skills and vocabulary. For these, we will use some audio and visual aids. When homework is provided it will mostly be centered around activities that you can enjoy.
