About Me

Hello, my name is Vuyokazi and I am from South Africa. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree and my majors were Drama and Languages. I also have a TESOL certificate. In my first year of studies in university, I studied English Linguistics and in my second year I studied Chinese Studies, so I know how hard it can be to learn a new language. My hobbies are creating digital content and writing short stories. I have one year of experience tutoring first-year university students who are at beginner level however, I am also good at teaching intermediate and advanced students. I am very kind and patient with my students. I look forward to seeing you in my class :-)

Me as a Teacher

I have satisfactory teaching skills. In 2020, I privately tutored first year University students who are at beginner level. I teach with patience and kindness and understand that mistakes are okay as they are part of the learning curve.

My lessons & teaching style

I teach through casual conversations to give practice of natural speaking and listening, and to develop learners’ vocabulary of conversational skills. Another style I use is teaching through educational language games to keep students engaged.
