About Me

Hi, I’m Tania. I’m Portuguese but I was born and raised in Germany. I speak French, Spanish, English, German and Portuguese. I'm also learning Japanese, too. In my freetime I like to watch movies and animes, to read books and mangas, to play games with friends or my family and I like to travel.

Me as a Teacher

When I was a student, I was tutoring a lot of adults and children. In 2017 I passed my state exam for being a French and Spanish teacher at high school. Currently I’m working as a language teacher at a secondary school but I also worked as a language teacher for adults.

My lessons & teaching style

I love learning and teaching languages because it makes it easier to understand other cultures and how other people think in different languages. I also know why it is difficult to learn a language, so I will give you some advices. For my classes I prepare a PowerPoint Presentation! Just take notes und have fun learning. You don't have to buy a book. If you want, I can also give you homework! I use a lot of gestures and pictures to teach you new words. Gradually, I am speaking more and more in the foreign language. But don't be afraid! In class I talk slowlly and I repeat a lot. I like to explain the grammar in a language that you understand.
