About Me

Hello! Hazel here, a friendly, enthusiastic, respectful and professional young lady from Zimbabwe. I am highly spirited and faithful that I can teach and work together to improve my students' verbal, written, and comprehension of the Shona and English languages. I spend most of my time volunteering in my community's institutions like High Schools, Child and Youth Care Centres. I love connecting with people from different backgrounds and learning from them. Shona: Wakadii hako, zita rangu ndinoitwa Hazel. Ndinobva kuZimbabwe uye ndinopa chiremera nerukudzo kune vamwe. Ndine chivimbo chekuti ndinokwanisa kushanda pamwe newe kudzidza nekunzwisisa mutauro wechiShona.

Me as a Teacher

I have 3+ years of teaching and tutoring experience in numerous fields like Psychology, Social Work, and Criminology that is all conducted in English. I teach the Shona and English languages from beginner to advanced levels, and I am good at teaching all age ranges, from 10 to 50+ years old! I have taught Shona and English to persons at the high-school level and tertiary levels from diverse backgrounds. I am also currently a psychology tutor for university students, levels 1, 2 and 3.

My lessons & teaching style

My teaching style is primarily centred on individual’s participation and engagement. I adapt my teaching style to cater to everyone and make the material as enjoyable as possible. I have an approachable, inclusive teaching style that is sufficiently flexible enough to cater to diverse learning techniques. All my lessons are tailored towards my student's understanding and mastering of the Shona and English languages. My teacher was absent so I had to take courses with an other teacher. I have chosen Hazel and I don’t regret because she is very kind and helpful. I recommend this teacher. Thank you 🙏🏼
