About Me

I have finished high school, college, and 120 hour TEFL course here in the USA. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and I am currently in a M.B.A program set to graduate next year.
For most of my life I spent my time as a professional circus acrobat, dancer, and actor. In the meantime, I was a teacher as well. I taught dance to children, circus acrobatics to kids and adults, and eventually ESL to children and adults of all ages. Of all the crafts I taught, ESL has been by far my favorite and I have done this as a full time job for the last 3 years. My lessons & teaching style
Every class I have, I make it a priority to figure out and understand the students' needs from an ESL perspective. I will use anything from articles, quizzes, interactive games, to free talk if it will garner the best results with the student.
Having a stress free and understanding environment is something that I establish at the beginning of the class. I want the student to feel only comfortable and I welcome mistakes, as correcting those mistakes is where the learning truly happens. My lessons are designed to bring out the best in a student while keeping him or her motivated and having fun at the same time.My teaching material

Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) - International House - 2021This is a 120 hour TEFL certificate that took me several weeks to attain. Here I had to learn and demonstrate how to teach children and adults learning ESL. It allowed me to become a better teacher and equipped me with skills I can utilize in the classroom.

Dance TeacherThis experience helps me because I was teaching children from 3 to 16 which all have very different personalities. Teaching them Ukrainian dance is a very difficult subject which requires them to step out of their comfort zone to do something new so finding different methods for motivation was something that I was always tasked to do.
2019 - 2020
Online TeacherMy experience on GoGoKid was the first time I taught ESL to Chinese boys and girls and it was spectacular. I learned so much about the culture and it was firsthand experience in online teaching. It was here that I solidified my online teaching skills.

Orest is patient and flexible to meet kid’s need. He has a wide range of knowledge and is helpful in expanding kids’ horizon as well as enriching their vocabulary.
