Bonjour à tous ! My name is Sébastien and I share my life between Paris and Tokyo, where I help small companies enter Asian markets. After studying French philosophy and literature in high school, I pursued degrees in English and business administration. I am a French national and I was born and raised in Paris, where I spent about 2 decades. Starting college, I studied, worked and travel to various places such as Hong Kong, Japan, Germany and the USA. I therefore speak fluent English and Japanese as well as intermediate German and Portuguese (B2-level).

Me as a Teacher

I define my teaching style as conversational and relaxed and strive for making the learning experience as enjoyable and natural as possible for the student. I believe in learning believe in learning by doing and constructive pedagogical methods using real life situations and experience. Making the lesson relevant for the student is vital to me, and I would hence be delighted to help you practice on light/daily life or theme-based discussions.

My lessons & teaching style

Lessons will be 30 minutes to 1 hour and will start with an introduction to assess your level of proficiency, themes of interest and long-term objectives. On a more practical level, I would be happy to provide specialized sessions in cover letter and resume drafting as well as business French covering many sectors ranging from luxury to manufacturing, energy, aerospace or food & beverage. I guarantee a fun, relaxed, enriching and delightful learning experience.
