はじめまして！わたしは　よしえといいます。 OR わたしのなまえは　よしえです。OR　わたしは　よしえともうします。 Which expression is familiar to you? Why you can't catch what Japanese are speaking? It is because you don't learn "conversational expressions". I would like to teach Japanese, which is actually spoken in the communities in my own innovative method! But also, if you are aiming to work in Japan or take JLPT, I will teach grammar and polite expressions. わたしはさいたまけんしゅっしんです。オーストラリアに20年ぐらいすんでいます。 I'm from Saitama near Tokyo and live in Australia about 20 years now. しょどうの先生をしたり、はりの先生を　しています。 I practice Shodo calligraphy and acupuncture too. キャンプ、ボルダリング、そして、おいしいものをたべるのがすきです。 I love camping, bouldering and eating something nice!

Me as a Teacher

I am a qualified translator/interpreter from/to Japanese to/from English with a Japanese teacher certificate. I will use English for beginners with any textbook because I want you to understand the grammar well so that you can learn quickly. For intermediate/advanced learners, Japanese is primarily used to improve your Japanese expressions. I found many students who are learning Japanese at school can tell/speak what they want, but they struggle to communicate with Japanese people because of lack of meaningful listening. So, in my lesson, you will learn tips how to listen and then listen to the online resources. Textbooks: Marugoto, Minnano Nihongo, Japanese for Busy People and Genki.

My lessons & teaching style

I will primarily use video materials/resources and some types of textbooks according to your needs and preferences: Marugoto visual textbooks, Japanese for Busy People in Romaji, Genki, Minnano Nihongo etc. Beginner level casual lessons: Hiragana/Katakana Marugoto visual textbooks Japanese for Busy People Beginner level regular lessons: Hiragana/Katakana Minnano Nihongo taught in English to accelerate your learning Intermediate or higher levels: Video resources for listening and speaking Online materials for reading and writing (if you are keen to learn) Story telling for listening and speaking Recording our short conversations for reviewing/memorising/paraphrasing
