About Me

Hello, my name is Seungyeon Woo. I'm here to teach you Korean. I was born and raised in Korea, my first language is Korean. I started teaching expats since September, 2020. Now teaching Korean is my job. I try to keep myself motivated and try new teaching methods. Mostly my class will consist of review & preview, checking homework you've done, going over your textbook, practicing pronunciation and actual conversation. I use textbooks named Talk to me in Korean, Ewha Korean books, the google document I make for each student. Thank you for reading, please reach out to me anytime!

Me as a Teacher

I started my teaching career by teaching expats Korean. Now I teach people that are interested in Korean language and culture as well, since my students are very diverse I try to use different teaching methods and learn new styles. The books I use are these three, Talk to me in Korean, Ewha Korean books, and Correct your Korean. This book called Talk to me in Korean is very useful. It's full of easy explanation and useful grammar. I try to keep the classes balanced. Making all the class components balanced is what I always work on. I guarantee you, you will have a wonderful experience with me!

My lessons & teaching style

I usually have classes based on each student's textbook. Textbooks help students to learn Korean more efficiently and easily. Also, I make my own documents for my students since using only textbook can be insufficient. I use Skype. I sometimes talk about Korean culture because learning language is basically for communication and communication needs cultural basis.

I enjoy my lessons so much, I'm a slow learner and 승연 has a lot of patience which is lovely. she explains things well and by the end of each lesson I feel more confident that one day I might master the begginer level of Korean 🙉 Really recommend her as a teacher x
