About Me

Hi, I am Hana. And I am tutor of spanish and czech on Italki. Since I was a child I loved languages. The czech grammar in a school wasn’t that easy. But I always found it as interesting language. And I loved to write stories. To study foreign languages I didn’t enjoy as much in my country, because of the mode of the traditional education. So I invented games and learned with songs. Later on I started to travel. In Spain I signed up for theatre and fine arts lessons while I didn’t speak as well yet. Every time I felt more confidence and motivation. Together with the study of grammar in one of the schools in Barcelona I learned a lot. The same way I also learned english and portuguese...

Me as a Teacher

In Spain I have given Spanish class to several people, crew members of yachts. Some found it difficult to let go of shy and start talking. But we have succeeded. And very soon they already knew how to handle the language well. And I love to see people moving forward like this! :) En España he dado clase de español a varias personas, tripulantes de los barcos ingleses. A algunos les costó soltar la timidez y comenzar a hablar. Pero lo hemos conseguido. Y dentro de poco ya sabían manejarse bien con el idioma. Y a mí me encanta ver la gente avanzando así! :)

My lessons & teaching style

We are going to talk a lot in our lessons. And to make it easier for us, we will be commenting little more on the culture of the language, while we correct and improve each other's grammar. Everything should be based on your interests, so that you first manage well by talking about the topics that you like. And if you are a beginner, we are going to play with vocabularies and grammar. But from the start, we are going to put together a few sentences, so you will manage to talk from the beginning. It is not as difficult as one may think. The secret is to let go, trust and talk. And I like a phrase from the Czech educator Jan Amos Komenský: ‘’THE SCHOOL - BY GAME.’’
