I am Maitri. I am from Tripura, a beautiful, small, and hilly state in India. Bengali is my mother tongue and I studied Hindi from childhood.As a vivid traveler I have traveled throughout my country and abroad.
Meeting people from different linguistic spaces is my favorite pastime. I love listening to others’ experiences, stories, and narratives. Exploring foreign cultures, customs, costumes, and cuisines, thrills me.Having collected a lot of memories and experiences myself while traveling and spending time with various people from different Indian territories,I love sharing those stories too. I enjoy learning new languages and would love to share the knowledge of my languages with everyone.Me as a Teacher
I am a native Bengali and Hindi speaker and English is my first language.I have been teaching kids since I was in college.My subjects were Bengali, Hindi and science. I have over 15 years of experience tutoring school students at home.
Recently I have had opportunities of sharing my knowledge of Bengali and Hindi with foreigners who wanted my help in learning how to speak, read, and write. It was an awesome experience, and everyone wanted me to offer online classes.
I have taught online to people from various parts of the world through mobile apps and computer programs.My students are delighted with my way of teaching and they come back for holistic learning of the Bengali and Hind language. My lessons & teaching style
My approach is goal oriented and on the specific requirements of each student. Whether you want to master, learn the language as a hobby, or want your kids to speak in the language, I can offer specific goal-based lessons.
From causal conversational Bengali and Hindi to professional business interactions I teach everything. Many foreign professionals who visit Bengal (in India and Bangladesh) for their business were helped by my Bengali lessons.
My lessons are more conversational, fun-filled, and situational (role-plays based on circumstances).I can either prepare you quickly for a short-term goal or help you in learning the nitty-gritties of the language and master it in the long-term.My teaching material

Another great lesson with Maitri! She has a high degree of knowledge and grasp over the language and can explain the "why" by drawing parallels with other languages such as English and Hindi. Very good experience and will definitely be scheduling future lessons with her.

Maitri has been one of the best teachers’ I’ve ever had! This has been my first time learning a new language, and I’ve never been much of a academic person before so I was nervous and pretty unconfident about making the commitment to learn Hindi; but Maitri has been there every step of the way with her patient, empathetic and enthusiastic personality, as well as her engaging and easy to understand lessons and study tricks! I would honestly recommend her to anyone. She will meet you wherever you are in terms of strength of learning, makes you feel comfortable, and really makes you look forward to to your next classes!
