About Me

Hi! My name is Sirin. I was born and raised in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I attended Chiang Mai University, majoring in English literature and translation, and spent 6 years working as a retail manager in FL, USA. Currently, I'm a freelance translator working on film subtitles which I love. Translating pun is my favorite part of the job. I like the small details of each language and see them as a unique character of each culture. I swim, free dive, draw and sketch flowers in my free time.

Me as a Teacher

I teach children Thai and I was told I'm a very calm and patient teacher. I'm happy to answer questions and find out about what motivates you to learn another language & what is the best way for you to learn. I'm also a big believer that teachers also learn from students. I want to make learning Thai fun and enjoyable for everyone.

My lessons & teaching style

Let's practice everyday conversation! That includes tones, pronouns, particles, slang, colloquial and everyday language. I think it is an important part of any language and the part that makes language fun! (I also love puns). Politics talk welcome! Thailand is going through the biggest cultural shift right now and I'm very passionate about this change. Other than that, let's focus on everyday conversation and learn about Thai 2021 slangs. Hope to see you in my class!

Kru Sirin helped me a lot with conversational Thai in both the Northern and Central dialects. She helped me have more confidence in speaking while correcting me where I made mistakes. We had a lot of interesting topics to discuss for our entire lesson.
