My name is Josep and I am from Barcelona, Spain. I am a freelance Spanish, Catalan and French teacher and translator. During my studies, I obtained a Diploma in Translation and Interpretation and a Certification in Education (C.A.P), at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. I love languages, teaching, travelling to other countries, foreign cultures, swimming and meditation. My mother tongues are Spanish and Catalan and I speak perfect French, English and a little bit of Italian and Russian. I have lived in different countries: Spain, France and Ireland; and I have recently arrived in Pisa, Italy. I also got a certification in Teaching Spanish as a foreign language at Cálamo & Cran, Barcelona. My experience in teaching in France, Spain and Ireland has allowed me to improve my language skills, as well as to increase my ability to adapt to new cultures and environments. I have been teaching at High Schools in France, as a language instructor for companies in Barcelona and Paris, and in private lessons during my years in these countries. I love helping and motivating students improve their language skills, which makes them return to me for more lessons. Excellent as usual! Josep is patient and encouraging and has a good sense of humour. Our sessions are primarily free-flowing Spanish conversations (which is what I wanted) but he also provides bits of helpful grammar that have helped me a lot. He explains things clearly and is great at giving me enough time to find the words/vocabulary to express myself (that takes such patience!), but also knows when to give a little clue or nudge with the correct word. I highly recommend him.
