¡Hola! I will take a break until June 7, 2021. I am finishing my semester at the university. If you have any questions, please feel free to message me! - - - My name is Ixchel and I am from Puebla, Mexico. I study History of Arts and International Relations and I have studied Classical Music. I am a Spanish teacher, certified by the UNAM (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México), who has been teaching Spanish since 2019. I love teaching Spanish to people from all over the world and getting to know other cultures! *Sometimes italki Classroom does not work well and has a lot of connection issues during the lesson. So I recommend that you choose ZOOM or SKYPE. Thanks for your understanding!*

Me as a Teacher

My motto is “LEARNING TO TEACH, TEACHING TO LEARN” (Of course, while having FUN!) As a teacher and as a student of foreign languages, I know how stressful it can be to learn a new language. For this reason, I always try to make my lessons dynamic and fun, where you can learn relevant vocabulary and feel confident to speak! I can help you with your lessons either in English, German or French and I am currently learning Chinese, Esperanto and Nahuatl, which is a language of the Uto-Aztecan language family. If you like, I can also explain to you the origin of some Nahuatl words! It would be a pleasure for me to participate in your language-learning projects. I look forward to working with you!

My lessons & teaching style

•If you are a beginner, I will teach you the basics with comprehensive material (such as videos, pictures, PPT and PDF files) and give you tips on how to learn more quickly and effectively if this is your interest. •Si eres un nivel intermedio o avanzado, ¡te ayudaré a llevar tu español al siguiente nivel! Nosotros conversaremos sobre tus temas favoritos. Por mi parte, me encanta hablar sobre música, gastronomía, viajes, cultura, literatura, ciencia, películas o noticias actuales. I will guide you on how to learn Spanish independently at home so that you can improve your language abilities both outside my class and we can switch to your native language whenever you need extra assistance!

I highly recommend Ixchel for learning Spanish! During class I talk a lot while Ixchel corrects my Spanish and teaches me new vocabulary. Somehow she makes me feel so comfortable speaking with her even though I'm still a beginner (like A2). I am amazed by how much I have learned in the last few weeks. And I enjoy and look forward to her classes so much! I recommend at least doing a trial lesson with her. I appreciate how organized she is and how she follows up with written notes after every lesson. 5 stars!!
