About Me

I am a musician and world traveler with a very open mind to new cultures, languages, and experiences. I performed piano aboard several cruise ships over three years and began seeing our Earth from a different perspective, sharing my talents and improving my own second languages along the way. I have been performing my entire life and I love to add a unique artistic flavour to everything I do. I enjoy seeing others share in the knowledge that is more available than ever before (especially concerning language) and I strive to be a helpful member of society.

Me as a Teacher

I got my certification in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from International TEFL Academy in 2019. I have several months of experience teaching mixed-level adult classes (Canadian Benchmark Levels 1-4) in Winnipeg, Canada. My long-term goal is to move abroad (most likely to Asia) and teach English to students of all ages.

My lessons & teaching style

I am more adapted to teaching individuals with Intermediate to Advanced levels in English, focusing on developing more fluent and accurate speech for everyday casual conversations or for more formal settings, depending on the student's needs and level. Lessons are student-centered, meaning the student is talking most of the time, improving pronunciation and creating more natural dialogue. I use online resources, some books, and often create my own materials for lessons. Depending on students' desires and learning style, different types of materials will be used (visual/audio/text/other). I am very patient and culturally sensitive, and am very understanding of the language learning process.
