My proposals are flexible and adaptable, there is no one way to get there. I establish a good work climate, enthusiasm and good vibes. Mis propuestas son flexibles y adaptables, no existe una única forma de llegar. Establezco un buen clima de trabajo, entusiasmo y buena onda para que el alumno se sienta cómodo porque corrigiendo todo el tiempo se inhiben y cuesta más lograr que avancen. Tomo registro de los errores que cometen para a partir de ahí ayudarlos a mejorar. Comienzo las clases realizando un repaso de lo último que vimos. Me fijo mucho en crear un vínculo y en captar su interés, en lo que necesita porque una persona se va a animar más a hablar sobre los temas que sabe. My lessons & teaching style
Me especializo en conversación. En la primera clase averiguo: cómo utiliza el español en la actualidad, cómo lo necesitará en el futuro, fortalezas y debilidades para la distintas destrezas idiomáticas, uso de la gramática, vocabulario y pronunciación, cuan confiado se siente para hablar y usar la lengua, cuanto tiempo hace que estudia español, qué es lo que más disfruta y qué es lo que más detesta de aprender español y qué es lo que espera de las lecciones, cuál es su trabajo, estudios e intereses, y de acuerdo a ello preparo una propuesta. Utilizo la guía SIELE para los temas gramaticales más importantes y mucho material para compartir on line (podcast, youtube, lyricstraining, etc.).My teaching material

What a blessing to have met Pat. A teacher with her heart truly in the profession. After class she went to effort of finding a list of Argentinian folklore artists and songs and films that she thought I would enjoy - and she has wonderful references. She helps me study the culture at the depth that I want and is invested in knowing who I am and what I need so that she can help me further. I’m grateful to have a teacher who is so passionate about helping me research and shares so much of herself and her knowledge. She is also incredible humble and has the soul of an artist. Very impressed.

Pat was approachable and spoke incredibly clearly and expressively. Alas, my almost 4-year-old son, the intended student, proved too young for the concept. But Pat was patient and kind and did a great job getting me to try to converse in Spanish—my last classes were 25+ years ago—and she made it a positive experience that makes me want to try lessons myself when I can carve out the time. She never gave up trying to entice my son back into the interaction, and the suggestion that seeing a parent try to learn a language would spark a child’s interest was very insightful, and I am grateful for her efforts.
