About Me

Hello! Hola! Ciao! Namaste! Hallo! My name is Valeria and I've always had a deep passion for foreign languages and cultures. After years of studying I started to travel on a big scale: from driving a rickshaw in India, to hicks in Australia or swimming with the turtles in the Philippines…yes, I love to see the world! Getting to know and communicating with people of the most different places definitely enrich your spirit and open your mind!

Me as a Teacher

During my career, I've studied English, Spanish, German and I learnt the basis of French on my own. I graduated in Languages and Cultures of South Asia (University of Venice) and I completed my MA in Communication, Literatures, and Media in South Asia (University of Heidelberg, Germany). Studying very different linguistic varieties such as Hindi, Hebrew and Urdu I improved both linguistic skills and more efficient learning methodologies: for this reason, I could assist students with difficult tasks and tutoring new beginners during each semester. Therefore, I have more experience with academic learning, teaching and translations.

My lessons & teaching style

I'm happy to share with you my knowledge in a practical and meaningful way. While paying attention to the grammar, the syntax and the cultural details which create the basic messages in each and every language, I would like to show and explain similarities and comparisons between different languages. In addition to the time spent on theories and rules, I believe that the most important aspects to learn new languages are one's own determination and openness to understand the logic of the new linguistic games! But don't worry: I'll help you in every necessary case :)
