About Me

I am a college student majoring in Linguistics and minoring in Italian and Spanish. I love to learn new languages and new cultures! I have studied abroad twice, in the Dominican Republic and Italy, both of which I LOVED. Me as a Teacher

I have taught English in the Dominican Republic to children in an orphanage, as well as I have experience teaching Spanish and Italian to classmates and friends who need help.

My lessons & teaching style

I like to focus on speaking because it is one of the most essential aspects in learning a language, aside from immersion. I like to have conversations and helping the students with listening and retaining the information they heard. In lower levels I think it's important to set a solid base in grammar, so there might be less speaking and more focus on understanding the basic grammar concepts of English.

Isaiyah is a great teacher! He's a natural conversationalist and a good listener. He allows me to become more confortable in speaking english while talking about my culture and my interests. He also did an amazing job in correcting my pronunciation. I will definitely book another lesson.

Isaiah is a great tutor, I have been practicing my speaking skills with him, and I strongly recommend his classes. He has a nice teaching methodology that helps to improve pronunciation to sound more natural, which is what I seek. Excellent!

I had grammar doubts and for each of them he gave me the reason why I should select which tense/noun and he gave me other examples. Good support and examples. He makes sure you understand, the reason of the correct answer.
