About Me

¡Hola! I'm Paloma and I'm from Oaxaca, México. I'm an artist, and I enjoy painting, drawing, writing, and I also practice meditation. I'm a person who loves meeting new people, and learning new things. I'm someone who's worried about the human footprint on the environments, therefore I like to do ecoturism, practice permaculture and a zero waste lifestyle. I started teaching Spanish and sharing about Mexico because I live in a magical town called Cholula and I have foreign friends who have taken trips here with me, which gave me a few oppurtunities to start teaching Spanish and Mexican culture. :)

Me as a Teacher

I'm a very friendly, outgoing and patient person. I love to talk about anything and everything, and learn new things through conversation. If you're looking for someone to practice your conversational skills, I'm your perfect match! I can teach you idioms, coloquial phrases, and slang for your speech to be more natural. I will also correct some words or phrases if they could be missunderstood. :)

My lessons & teaching style

Normally, I'd like to focus on natural conversation by talking about daily topics. However, if you also'd like to study Spanish grammar I can help you. Also I encourage my students to have any random questions about, not just Spanish language, but Mexican culture. You will be able to reach me anytime via Italki or messangers such as Skype anytime of the day. (So you won't have to wait till our next lesson to ask questions!) :)
