About Me

italki teacher since Mar 20, 2020

I am a qualified teacher, with over 10 years of experience. I have taught formally in schools in Spain, Thailand and India, and also in academies in the UK. I have also worked for the University of Cambridge's langauge department, developing an app to support students who struggle with English. For successful learning to take place, curiosity and perseverance, from both the teacher and the student is required.

Me as a Teacher

My lessons and content will be very much tailored to your particular objectives and interests. My aim is to facilitate the organic development of English, helping you to become a confident user. I like to use different techniques within class, and draw on a range of games, flashcards, news articles, audio and video files to provide a more wholesome experience. Learning should be enjoyable, but challenging at times. As your teacher, I hope to make improving your English as smooth and enjoyable as possible and to help you achieve your objectives, whatever they may be.

My lessons & teaching style

Making mistakes is an important part of language learning. I like to provide a safe and comfortable environment where my students speak as much as possible, whic provides more opportunity for feedback and improvement.
