About Me

I currently teach English Chinese students, ages 3 to about 14, despite not knowing Chinese myself. Therefore, I can help with more basic levels, as well as more intermediate and advanced levels. I am patient and willing to work through complicated material for my students' various levels. As a language learner myself, I understand how difficult it can be to learn a language. I am very supportive and encouraging, but I will also correct your mistakes as we go and inform you of what you need to work on. My lessons & teaching style
As an italki tutor, what you want to come out of these lessons is for you. Conversation is important in language learning. Therefore, I will make sure to work with you on your speaking skills from the beginning. For beginning learners, this may include using visuals and hand motions, as well as speaking slowly to aid your understanding. For more intermediate and advanced learners, we can talk about different topics that may interest you, such as celebrities, movies, law, or business English vs. more casual English. Grammar is also important, and so we can practice using skits, reading material, grammar lessons, homework, test/quizzes, etc. Much on this depends on what you are looking for.5.0
