About Me

Hi everyone! I'm Francesca, I'm 20 years old and I'm Italian. I was born and raised in Calabria, Italy so I have a southern accent. I study linguistics and translation at the university (English and Russian) and I speak 4 languages: Italian (as a native speaker), English (on a advanced level), Russian (basic level) and Spanish (basic lavel). I always loved to travel and to discover new cultures so I found the faculty of languages just perfect for me. I like watching tv series from different countries, reading books but also cooking and baking.

Me as a Teacher

I am a languages student so I'm perfectly aware of the problems people can have when they learn a new language. I'm here to help you! Don't be afraid of making mistakes, it's part of the process! I will help you to sound more natural and to really speak Italian. Grammar it's important but itv isn't enough.

My lessons & teaching style

My lessons will be practice based. We will have conversations about different topics, we will watch short videos, we will read articles, we will share recepies and so on! If you don't have fun you will not learn a language! I will share with you my culture and why not? I will teach you some Calabrian (dialect spoken in Calabria, where I was born a raised) words if you want!

Great first lesson! She was very knowledgeable and clever. She speaks English well and offered a lot of great advice. She was able to explain a lot about Italian culture and customs as well. Great and supportive teacher all around!
