About Me

I write poetry and prose almost every day. I still struggle to become an established writer. I love learning languages. Apart from my native language,I also speak English, Spanish, Russian and German, and I am learning Croatian sign language. My favorite topics are: books, movies, theater, traveling and the languages. For now, I have only traveled to: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy, Hungary, Slovenia and Spain. I would like to travel more, and to visit other continents.

Me as a Teacher

I teach Croatian on Italki from 2013th. This is my only teaching experience. I love helping others to learn my language. Croatian language and literature were always my favorite subject at school. I always try to use my language correctly, and to find out the correct usage of some words, when I am not sure. My profession is a physical education teacher, but I never had an opportunity to work in that field. I just led Pilates classes a few hours per week.

My lessons & teaching style

I prepare my lessons according to the wishes of my students, and according to their language level. I always ask them which topics they would like me to prepare, and do they want to concentrate more on the grammar or on the vocabulary. I expect of them to use Croatian as much as they can, and to avoid speaking in English. I try to help them to gain confidence, and to stay motivated. Croatian is not the easiest language to learn, but it's also not the hardest one.
