As a teacher, I like to think of myself as patient and flexible. I have taught in many very different settings. The type of students in these settings varied greatly. All needed varying teaching methods in order to succeed. Flexibility was a necessary skill to be a good teacher during those times. The same thought applies to the present day. As a teacher on Italki, I want my students to have as much success at language learning as possible. I would like to discuss their specific goals with them in our early sessions. After discussing goals, a specified plan for their success can be made. My lessons & teaching style
In my lessons, I want to focus on the personal learning needs of the student. When I was learning Spanish, I took every opportunity to be around people who spoke the language. I made fun activities like pool parties and concerts my learning environment. Practicing conversation is a very important part of language learning. I would like to encourage my students to immerse themselves in English as much as possible. Speaking a new language can feel intimidating. I want to create a safe and fun environment for learners to explore the English language.4.9
