Hi Future Conversation Partner! Are you bored of answering the same few questions every time you try to practice English? So am I. I love to ask strange questions! Strange questions are a wonderful, fun way to practice your vocabulary and grammar. The best kind of session is one where I ask you a few strange questions, and you try to talk about your answer as much as possible. It's best if you speak more than me. I also excel at explaining the connotations of words. For example, if you're confused about whether you should use "clean" or "tidy," I can help you. I have tutored English online for 3 years. I'm a kind, patient person who enjoys having fun. Let's have a fun conversation!

Me as a Teacher

I love to travel. I have traveled to Germany, China, Hungary, Turkey, Ireland, Puerto Rice, and the eastern half of the USA so far. One of my favorite travel memories is playing soccer with Turkish children. I'm currently fixing a travel trailer so I can explore more of America and Canada. I have "grandma" hobbies such as reading, writing, baking, and knitting. I also have outdoorsy hobbies like hiking, kayaking, and volunteering on a horse farm. I'm a bit of a nerd, so I enjoy talking about things like Harry Potter. What things do we have in common? Let's talk about it! I show students a new thing in English every week. These things range from a good song to a comic I enjoy.

My lessons & teaching style

I'm an experienced English tutor with years of experience. During that time, I have tutored nearly 3,000 students. My students and I have prepped for English tests, practiced business presentations, read books and articles together, edited papers and emails, and chatted about every topic imaginable. A lot of my students compliment my interesting questions, my easygoing style, and my dedication to practicing areas of English that they need help with. Most of my sessions, I talk about 15-20% of the time. I give corrections via chat and hand gestures. I am not the best fit for: absolute beginners and those studying business English.

I noticed that Lexi is very good at quickly explaining the meaning of words or the difference. She also doesn't waste lesson time on things that you don't need. This is a very important thing that saves your time.
