Hi I'm Rachel! I am super passionate about teaching Japanese! I am currently working as a Japanese teacher at a local school in Australia and have about 3 years of experience in both teaching in the classroom and online lessons. My specialty is helping beginners grasp the fundamentals of learning Japanese!
【IMPORTANT】
1. I don't teach students who are above N2.
2. English WILL BE used in our lessons.
3. I accept up to 6-7 lessons a day and close my schedule thereafter. Early booking is recommended.
4. I might run late depending on if I have a class before so please be patient. My lessons & teaching style
Beginners' Course - If you can already read hiragana, we will move straight to learning grammar/various expressions that will help you for when you go to Japan. If you're a total beginner, we will learn both hiragana and grammar simultaneously. Generally, I like to do an equal balance of reading, speaking, and listening in my classes. If you want homework, I can also provide you with tasks for revision.
General Course (Intermediate up to N2) - The first lesson will incorporate a series of placement questions so that I can accurately gauge what your current Japanese level is. From there, I will plan a lesson that will suit your learning needs.My teaching material

Lessons with Rachel are usually engaging. She is very patient and really pays attention to your learning needs. She takes down notes on what needs further improvements and always reviews them at the next lesson. I have been taking formal classes outside but Rachel has been instrumental in helping me solidify the info and putting them into practice.
