About Me

Hello! My name is Ariadne, and my nickname is Arix. I have an unusual name, taken from Greek Mythology which I really like, as I do mythologies of any kind and folk history in general. I've just finished my master's course in English Culture and Literature in Portugal. After living in Portugal for 2 years, I moved to England, where I stayed for six months, and now I'm back in my hometown. I love movies, series, and anything that brings some culture into my life, and I try to study languages as much as possible. I am learning French now, and I already have other language goals for when I am fluent in it.

Me as a Teacher

While I was taking my Undergraduate Degree, I started teaching English as a part-time job. When I graduated, It became a career. I taught English to students of all ages and levels for 6 years. When I had a full classroom, I tried to be as dynamic as possible but in teaching one-to-one, It is interesting to have the format of a conversation, while grammar and vocabulary are slowly introduced throughout the classes.

My lessons & teaching style

I am available for both Brazilian Portuguese and English classes here. In the beginning, I like to have a conversation with students, where we will decide which way to go and what areas we need to focus on more. Then, we shall have classes focused on developing conversation skills; and depending on the case, we will have some homework based on the student's needs. But they shall be tailored to each student's preferences.

It was really good. The teacher was very easygoing, engaging and interesting . The topics discussed during class were very challenging and updated. We had a very good and pleasant chat. She explained everything patiently and clearly. I really enjoyed the class and recommend her to everyone who needs extra help with English.
