About Me

My name is Fernanda Dias and I’m from Brazil. I love anything creative and have a passion for art, photography and learning about all different kinds of people. I’ve been teaching Portuguese for 3 years and I really enjoy doing that. I have spent time travelling and living in the USA and learning about different cultures, I hope to travel more in the future to expand my horizons. I teach online because I can manage my own schedule and have the flexibility to do everything I want.

Me as a Teacher

I’ve been teaching Portuguese online for 3 years. I graduated in journalism but I decided to start teaching Portuguese because I really want to help people. Teaching is my passion. I never stop learning something new. I am convinced that a good teacher should use fresh approach in teaching as I usually do. I’ve taught beginners and intermediate, as well as children.

My lessons & teaching style

I like my lessons to be fun. I’ll help you with your grammar, vocabulary and mainly with your pronunciation. We will work with songs, games and videos. I want the lesson to be enjoyable for you. I expect my students to be motivated and engaged in the lesson. I’ll help with your motivation and encourage you not to give up on learning a new language. I’ll bring the learning into your own reality and you’ll learn at your own pace. I like giving my students homework, so be prepared for it. You’ll not only learn the grammar and rules about the languages but also how native speakers communicate in real life.
