About Me

I have been a modern foreign language teacher (French, Spanish, and English) for nearly two decades. I started my teaching career as a business language instructor in the oil and gas industry before moving to teach in international schools in 2004. Since then, I have worked with children aged 3-18 (i.e., pre-school through high school). I am state certified to teach French, Spanish, and English to students of all ages, and as part of that process, I have passed state, national, and international background checks. For over a decade now, I have also worked as a trainer for modern foreign language teachers and to date, I have trained over a thousand teachers in more than sixty countries. My lessons & teaching style
As your teacher, I will focus on three main skill areas with you: productive skills, receptive skills, and — perhaps most importantly — interactive skills. For those who prefer help with grammar or accent reduction, I specialize in those areas as well. Above all, I will create an environment that is safe and comfortable for you and your level of language learning. Everything will be personalized and adapted to your needs.
For structured lessons, I will provide you with learning material so that you can continue your practice and extension work outside of class. For grammar workshops, I will go through a targeted lesson that will demystify concepts and build on your native language base(s).My teaching material
