As a teacher, my main focus will be teaching day-to-day English. I can also teach slang and explain the different phrases used by different English speakers. What may be polite in one country may be considered rude in another! I studied creative writing at university so I have a good grasp of the English language and a wide vocabulary. I also have a TEFL certificate (150 hours). Over the last few years I have casually tutored young adults (18-30) in English and I have also tutored teenagers in mathematics. My lessons & teaching style
My lessons will focus on a conversational natural English rather than the formal English normally taught in schools. This type of English is the one you're most likely to need and use. In terms of my teaching style, I like to keep things fun and informal, mainly talking about topics such as films/movies, music, food and travel.My teaching material
