As a teacher, I'm very adaptable. I have experience teaching all ages, from age 4 to age 70. I am a father, so I have developed a lot of patience with teaching children. I have also taught literacy to elderly people, and business English in a classroom setting, and conversation lessons.
For you, I will use appropriate materials to help you on your way to express yourself in English in whatever settings you need. There are so many wonderful tools available these days, and I can help you find and use them.
In my language-learning journey, I have benefited tremendously from learning to sing songs in foreign languages (French and Spanish). I'd love to sing with you. My lessons & teaching style
A great class for beginner students is a lot like a music class: it involves a lot of repetition. We say words and phrases slowly and practice them until not only our minds, but our bodies learn them. We discuss simple questions to make the first steps toward fluent speech. For children, we use toys and create an atmosphere of play.
A great class for intermediate to advanced students is like meditation: try to get to the point in speaking English where you forget about the rules and enter the space of free expression from which you speak your primary language. Along the way, we take note of important corrections, while keeping to a minimum the disturbance of the flow of conversation.Certificates
