I have a Bachelor’s degree in Communications. I have experience teaching Spanish in a traditional classroom setting and as well online. I worked in Finland and Mexico teaching Spanish to adults. I have worked as an online teacher giving individual classes.
As a teacher, I believe that we can help the students to grow as learners and to reach their learning goals.
I am enthusiastic about education and always strive to do the best for my students. I have experience in planning authentic and interesting lessons. My lessons & teaching style
I believe that using different engaging activities keep students interested, motivated and support their learning. I conduct the classes according to your interest and skill level. I will support you to meet your individual learning goals, whether they are confidence in conversation, vocabulary for a certain topic, grammar or something else.
We can use materials, such as books, exercise sheets and articles, to support your learning or videos and music to practice listening skills and to learn new vocabulary. It’s up to you, I will customize the lesson especially for you.My teaching material

Juan Pablo is a great teacher. Every lesson goes by so quickly you will hardly realize that you are learning a great deal. He really knows the grammar and usage rules of the Spanish language and has a good sense of when to switch from Spanish to English to make certain that you understand a concept.

Right away, Juan Pablo made me feel comfortable and understood. He has a great plan designed which i am excited to follow, but probably the best thing about him was how supportive and encouraging he is. It is easy to feel successful with someone so positive!

I love working with Juan Pablo. Spending time speaking and laughing and practicing with him makes me feel like I’ve just been on vacation for an hour in a lively cafe in Oaxaca hanging out with the locals! Lately I have been reading passages out loud from some literature that I would like to present in public. I’m so grateful to get his honest feedback on my pronunciation and accent. It’s is truly helping me gain confidence. Looking forward to our next lesson together.
