About Me

Hello, my name is Isabel, I´m from Madrid and currently live in United Kingdom . Although I´m a teacher of Art History , my passion for teaching Spanish began when I came to England, because I met people from different nationalities and many of them were interested in learning Spanish and they asked me about Spanish grammar, pronunciation, etc. So in 2013 I started to teach private Spanish lesson gaining experience and interest to become an excellent teacher. I´ve been trained at the "Instituto Cervantes" I often travel to Mexico, I like to learn Spanish words that we do not use in Spain.

Me as a Teacher

I´m a patient teacher if you have doubts about grammar, pronunciation, etc. I´ll repeat it as much as you need. I can understand you because I am also an English student. I´m going to focus on your objectives and it based of that we are going to work on it together and we are figure out strategies in order to learn Spanish. I ´ll become your guide along your Spanish journey in and out of classroom giving you homework if you want it.

My lessons & teaching style

Lessons will be in Spanish from the beginning, because it is better for you. Just in case of necessity I will explain difficulties in English or French. We will be able to improvise in the class but my lessons are very prepared based in The Common European Framework of Reference for Learning, Teaching and the evaluation of languages. For Intermediate level onward I do like to explain about “refranes” (proverbs) and informal words that we usually use in Spain. I am going to do my best because I want you to be confident and comfortable during the lesson. Don’t worry if you make mistakes. It doesn’t matter!
